Mindfulness Meditation Training

The practice of Mindfulness Meditation is simply an effort to bring our mind back to our bodies and to whatever our body is doing in order to experience our true presence by becoming aware of the Presence of the Divine within us.  Only then, in those moments of Spiritual Awakening, can we experience the true nature of reality and become fully alive.  In the Jewish and Christian traditions, we say "We're doing what we do in the Presence of God".  In Buddhism, the energy of Mindfulness is the essence of the Buddha.  In the Christian tradition, these energies are called the Holy Spirit.

I have taught Mindfulness Meditation for forty-eight years to students and clients of Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, and Moslim religions. Because it is a spiritual practice, it is not in conflict with any religion.  I teach it individually to my private clients, both adults and children, and to groups of people in all walks of life throughout the United States.  I have taught it in college, in hospitals and medical practices, in business and in learning centers.

In medical research conducted since the 1960's at The Benson-Henry Institute for Mind/Body Medicine at Harvard Medical School, there are many health and wellness benefits of a Mindfulness Meditation practice. Practiced daily, one becomes more stress resilient and the entire system returns from a fight or flight response to a relaxation response mode.  Given that at least 90% of all illness is caused or made worse by stress, this is healing in all medical conditions including anxiety and depression as well as being preventive medicine. In addition, Mindfulness Meditation is effective in managing chronic pain.  Other researched results include increased memory, intuition, creativity, learning and IQ.
